Hiking up Mount Si
This is a mountain in the Western Cascades and is approximately 45 minutes from Seattle. It is quite a popular hiking trail. The mountain is approximately 3500 feet high. It is a remnant of a volcano. It is a 4 mile hike ( 6.4 km ). In between, you get to see a brook and there are a couple of landing spots to sit down and relax. Here are some photographs from Summer 2008. Some pictures of the view from the hiking trail. If you get to the top you can see the Upper Snoqualmie Valley, the Puget Sound Basin and well beyond those as well.
