Hundreds of ships, off the coast of Singapore. Many of these are idle ships which are a sign of receding trade.  These are container ships, oil tankers and bulk carriers which are supposed to be transporting goods between Europe, America and Asia. Normally they would be stocked with clothes, shoes, cameras, electronics and what not. However, their idle state in the waters around Singapore reflects the state of world affairs. At one point of time, the number of these idle ships was greater than the US and British navies combined.
